In this warm reflection of our changing lives, 7-time Emmy Award-winner & 5-time Golden Globe Award-winner EDWARD ASNER leads a powerhouse ensemble whose performances are both heartfelt and comically brilliant.

Not long after moving to a small Pennsylvanian town, uptight lawyer Joel Bixby (Tony Award nominee John Cariani) is invited by an affable stranger, Leo Applegate (Asner), to join a group of guys who hang out at the local community center. Joel reluctantly finds himself mesmerized by Leo’s ebullient manner and agrees to drop by — without ever asking what it is the group actually does.

Figuring he’ll at least make some business contacts, an anxious Joel shows up on a Saturday morning. He soon finds himself swept up in the strange lives of Leo’s pals. Former best buds Nick (Mark Fite) and Perry (David Wells) are at odds and equally adrift; Nick is being sued and divorced simultaneously and can’t get any solace from former-minister-turned-insurance-broker Perry. Dink (Jack Kehler) is dealing with concerns for his wife’s health, while trying to keep everyone happy and together.

The guys —and, finally, Joel — grapple with their own disappointments and, in the process, reveal the compelling reason for their gathering.
